Wine Vacation in Cortona

Although it is a small winemaking area in the national wine scene, Cortona is the first D.O.C. Syrah wine-producing area in Italy as its soils and microclimate are perfect for vine growing.

During your stay in one of our beautiful tourist accommodation facilities, equipped with all modern conveniences, you will have the possibility to go on a full-day guided wine tour to visit small family-run wineries producing Syrah, an ancient grape variety of Persian origin that found a perfect terroir and climate in this valley.

The dinner with private chef at home will include delicious recipes of the old peasant tradition of Valdichiana paired with Cortona DOC wines.

In this little hamlet of the 17th century lying at the foot of Cortona, the manor farmhouse and its outbuilding were finely renovated with exposed wooden beams and decorated with wrought iron beds. This is the ideal accommodation facility for large groups who want to benefit from all modern conveniences. The buildings were divided into 9 beautiful independent apartments, each one having a kitchen and 2 bathrooms.

The big swimming pool in the park is for the exclusive use of guests. A special breakfast served in the orangery in the morning and Tuscan cooking classes are only some of the services provided at this farmhouse.

Casa Lamate

Casa Lamate is a lovely country house affording a panoramic view onto Valdichiana that was finely refurbished with traditional features of Tuscan architecture such as loggias, terracotta flooring tiles and wooden beams in the ceilings.

The house is spread over three floors with access from outside. There are four bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower. You will find a little fitness area on the first floor, in addition to a swimming pool with sunbeds and deck chairs and an outdoor cooking area with barbecue and wood-fired oven in the big garden.

In this lovely country house, which was finely renovated, you will find all the features of old Tuscan houses such as wooden beams and terracotta floors. The kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances and conveniences and a big dining table. The same attention to details is visible in the 8 bedrooms of the house, each decorated in a different style. Five double bedrooms have en-suite bathroom with bathtub or shower. A swimming pool for the exclusive use of guests enriches the huge garden surrounding the house.

This lovely 4-bedroom villa was recently entirely refurbished and is equipped with all modern conveniences. The house is spread over 3 floors.

The living area consisting of a sitting room with TV and fireplace, a large kitchen with dining table and a WC occupies the whole ground floor.

The 4 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom, are spread over the 3 floors. The park with English lawn has an 8x4 swimming pool with sunbathing area equipped with sunbeds and deck chairs. The pool has Roman steps for a gradual entry into the water. The villa is entirely fenced and has a gate and a parking area.
